Firstly, we had a great turn out for the Nancy Morgenstern Memorial Ride on Sunday September 11th. We had about 80 riders come together and remember Nancy. Nancy's father, Harvey, who was there for the commencement of the ride, was delighted with the cycling community's support. We received the following in a thank-you note from Harvey.
"I want to thank you all for yesterday . Having so many people show up for the ride was very comforting and that feeling lingered with me all day. Cycling was a big part of Nancy's life and you perpetuated that part of her legacy Sunday morning and I hope it continues. The canceling of the race at Harriman State Park was a big disappointment to me but seeing all of the riders showing up for Nancy soothed that feeling and in a strange way was even more compelling."Thank you to all of those who were able to attend - this was a great showing of sense of community within the club.
"All you can eat" Season Finale
This Saturday's club race combines the Club Championship and Team Cup Finale into a single, all you can eat event. Come for the Club Championship, get a free Team Cup Finale (double serving of points) as well. We'll also throw in Boyd Cup Points (sorry, single serving only).
If the rain was getting you down, you'll be happy to see the current forecast here - cool and sunny. Photographer Marco Quezada will be on hand to capture the action for us. And if all that was not enough, we are throwing in a fast and exciting finish at Engineer's Gate (well, about 100 meters before Engineer's Gate...)
In addition to the Club Championship for the Men's and Women's (A and W fields), the Team Cup Competition is still up for grabs in the A and B fields.
Start time is 6:30am. Numbers RIGHT.
