At last weekend's race, we discovered that many chips had expired. We have ordered new chips and will have them available for sale at the next race on 3/22. Please keep the following in mind:
We ask that you pre-pay before the race day to facilitate the process for everyone. The cost of a chip is $75 and you can pay at your member's dashboard in the Payment tab.
If you have a chip from another race series, you may use it, but please update your profile with the chip number.
If your name is included in this list, your chip has reached the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced. Going forward, we will include the list of racers with dying chips in the post race/results email.
Chips last about 5 years. If you have not raced in a while or know that your chip is old, you may want to proactively replace it for more accurate results.
Chips are critical for timely and accurate results. Last week our USAC official Jim spent many hours manually reconciling race footage and results. To be respectful of his time, we ask that you replace it at the race following notification. We will allow a one-race grace period. After that results will not be adjusted.
Similarly, please do not race with more than one chip as that also creates extra reconciliation work.
