"Medicine of Cycling" Symposium

NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, is putting on a free symposium for coaches and athletes on Saturday, March 19.  Check in starts at 7:15, the talks start at 8:00 and goes until about 1 pm.  Inigo San Millan, the Garmin Physiologist, is being flown in to give the keynote.

The NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases  and the NYU Langone Sports Medicine Division is proud to sponsor a free "Medicine of Cycling" Symposium for athletes at all levels and coaches.  The conference will be held at the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases at 301 East 17th street in New York City from 8 am until noon on Saturday, March 19, 2011.

Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Inigo San Millan, renowned cycling physiologist, who will discuss the state of the sport, coaching and physiology.  Other topics are:  Medical evaluation and monitoring of the athlete, how to deal with serious injury, recovery from injury, doping, and advances in bike fit.  There will be time for questions and discussion.  Please see the list of topics, below.
