The CRCA Board is very excited to announce that the 2021 CRCA Membership Portal is now open for registration!
The 2021 Lucarelli & Castaldi Club Series is slated to begin Saturday, June 5. (Full Season Calendar) This is subject to change, but the Board is doing everything we can to make it happen. Below is all the info you need for the 2021 season. Please read carefully and standby for any updates.
What’s Different for 2021?
Race numbers and new/replacement timing chips will be mailed to you to prevent gathering at pick-up. Because of this, you must be an active member no later than 10 days before race day. Please sign up as soon as possible to ensure you receive these items. If you plan to race on June 5, you will need to be registered and have uploaded an approved race waiver by May 26. There will be no exceptions to this rule. Race numbers and chips will not be available for pickup on race day.
Due to current Parks Department event regulations, proper face masks will be required before, during, and after the race. If this changes, racers will be notified in the pre-race instructions the week of the race.
When staging for the race, 6 feet of social distancing will be mandated. There will be no gathering or podium ceremony after the race.
Please refer to the Tech Guide for a complete list of COVID Safety Protocol.
Since last season was cut short, we’d like to remind you of the updates we made to the 2020 Season. You can review them here (timing chips/membership tiers/marshaling) and here (field adjustments).
What You Need to Register:
Your timing chip number. If you are a returning member, you will need the timing chip number from the one registered to you last year. If you’ve lost it, there is a $50 charge for a replacement chip. New members will be allocated a new chip, included in membership dues.
Current USAC license. You can sign up without active membership to USA Cycling, but you will not be eligible to race until it is current.
Pricing:
Members returning from the 2020 season will receive a full credit for their racing membership to be used towards the 2021 season. Otherwise, new membership pricing is similar to 2020 as the cost of logistics with timing chips and permitting is relatively unaffected by the shortened season. The first race will also include Intro to Race Clinics for new racers in both the Men’s and Women’s fields. You do not need to have completed your new member skills coaching session before participating in this race clinic, but you do need to complete it before your first Club Series race (USAC Category 4 and Novice racers). Coaching sessions are available at any point after joining, as long as you have uploaded your USAC waiver, and it has been approved. Sessions will be posted to the schedule weekly over the weekend and will likely fill quickly. Consider completing your marshal duties early in the season in case you are not able to attend the required skills session prior.
A Zoom Info Session for New Member Orientation will be held Wednesday, May 19 at 7PM EST. Save the Zoom Link or add the event to your Google calendar.
