We recently updated our NYSBRA Guide For Category Upgrades. CRCA members can use this Guide as a reference to assist you in keeping track of, calculating and submitting your USAC upgrade requests.
There were no significant changes to the 2018 USAC Rulebook concerning Category Upgrades, other than rules pertaining to Juniors and Collegiate Racers. You can see all the 2018 Rule Changes here.
This Guide was created by the NYSBRA NYC Representative and Upgrade Coordinator for the NYC Region, who also happens to be CRCA's current Director of Teams. Following the steps outlined in this Guide will help ensure quick upgrade approvals. The guide should help answer the most commonly asked questions that racers have, as well as provide examples of well formatted requests and the most common errors in upgrade submission to avoid.
As always, please refer to the USAC Rulebook for the complete USAC Upgrade Rules.
Good luck to all our members this season!
