The class focuses on professional racing techniques including:
- How to handle elbow to elbow riding in a calm, balanced manner
- Out-of-saddle technique which is the same for climbing and sprinting
- Echelon riding
- Group training techniques and rules
- And, given time, leadout trains for sprinters
Session 1 and 2 will cover different topics.
This class is coached by John Eustice, former president of CRCA and one of the pioneer American cyclists to break into the world of European pro cycling. He founded and captained the first U.S. team to race in the Tour of Italy and is a two-time U.S. professional champion. Eustice worked for ESPN and ABC Sports as a cycling analyst for the Tour de France from 1992 to 2006. He ws the promoter of races such as the Houstatonic Classic, Univest Grand Prix, The Reading 100, and currently the Thompson Bucks County Classic, in Doylestown, PA.
